Rev. Lyle P. Pointer was born and raised in Olney, Maryland by Pastor Lionel and First Lady Michelle Pointer. He was educated in the Montgomery County Public School system where he graduated from Sherwood High School in 2002. Rev. Pointer then continued his education at the historical Morehouse College. He graduated from Morehouse in 2006 with honors in Business Administration. Rev. Pointer then traveled from Atlanta, Georgia to Durham, North Carolina where he continued his education by attending Duke Divinity School where he graduated in 2009 with a Masters in Divinity. In May of 2019 Rev. Pointer received his Doctorate in Ministry from Morehouse School of Religion.

Rev. Pointer was licensed and ordained as a member of Round Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland where Lionel P. Pointer Jr. is the pastor. He currently serves as an associate minister under Pastor Pointer’s leadership. Lyle’s favorite scripture is Isaiah 54:17 which reads: No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn, This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
